Individual therapy offers you the chance to explore your heart and your life in a way that we often don’t make time for in our everyday lives. Imagine a camera lens. In daily life the lens is in a tight close up: your meeting at work, the exchange with an acquaintance in the grocery store, the ding of your phone issuing in yet another email. In therapy we are able to zoom out and look at the broader picture of your life to help you make sense of how and why things became they way they are, and how you might want to change them. You become the writer and director of your story instead of a character swept up in the happenings of a life outside of  your control. In individual therapy I use a variety of experiential, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and narrative techniques coupled with a non-judgmental, client centered approach to help you make the changes you desire.
